We are looking for a driven and talented Firmware Engineer to support our Hardware Development Team in the design, testing, validation, and industrialization of electronic circuits for disruptive new products. ​Responsibilities

  • Firmware Development: Design, develop, and implement firmware for industry-specific hardware solutions, ensuring performance, reliability, and scalability.

  • Test Automation: Plan and develop software for test jigs and auxiliary devices such as IMUs, temperature, and humidity sensors, ensuring comprehensive testing coverage.

  • Troubleshooting & Validation: Conduct thorough testing on produced products, troubleshoot any defects, and contribute to the validation of new hardware solutions.

  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the software team to integrate APIs and ensure seamless operation within the overall product architecture.

  • Reporting & Documentation: Create and maintain clear and up-to-date documentation for all firmware developed, supporting long-term maintainability and knowledge sharing.

  • Innovation & R&D: Contribute to testing and evaluating new technologies that may be incorporated into future product lines.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience as a Firmware Engineer or a similar role.
  • Master’s degree in Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

  • Strong proficiency in C programming for embedded systems – must have.

  • Solid understanding of Linux environments and embedded systems.

  • Proven experience in RTOS (e.g., FreeRTOS, Zephyr) and bare-metal development.

  • Familiarity with C++ or Rust for scripting or supplementary development – nice to have.

  • Basic knowledge of Python and Bash scripting.

  • Familiarity with microcontrollers - especially STM32.

  • Familiarity with secure boot, encryption and firmware update mechanisms.

  • Experience with version control tools (Git).

  • Knowledge of best practices in firmware/software development.

  • Experience with electronic device development processes such as testing, schematic capture, PCB layout, and prototyping (preferred).

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English & Portuguese.
