The Hardware Team at Smartex is committed to revolutionize the textile industry through the development of cutting-edge electronic solutions. We are looking for a hands-on Electronics Support Specialist to join our talented team. This role bridges electronics assembly, repair, and support with engineering collaboration, ensuring the reliability and quality of our hardware products. You’ll work closely with hardware engineers and the quality team, contributing to both production and continuous improvement of our products and testing systems.
Responsibilities
- Organize incoming faulty parts and products in the warehouse and electronics lab.
 - 
 Register and manage faulty parts digitally for process control and traceability.
 - 
Repair and rework electronic parts and assemblies, including SMT and THT components.
 - 
Perform soldering and component replacement according to Smartex quality standards.
 - 
Assemble and use internal testing devices, including ICT and FCT jigs for PCBAs and sub-assemblies.
 - 
Analyze schematics to support fault diagnosis and repair.
 - 
Assist engineers in hardware rework activities and validation of design fixes for existing product versions.
 - 
Participate in testing, validation, reliability, and regression activities to meet product requirements and AQL standards.
 - 
Document recurring processes, repairs, and intervention procedures in internal systems and knowledge bases.
 - 
Support root cause analyses and contribute to Continuous Improvement Cases (CICs), documenting technical failure modes and data.
 - 
Collaborate with other technicians and cross-functional teams to improve operational efficiency and workflow consistency.
 - 
Maintain a clean, organized workspace following Smartex’s internal methodologies.
 - 
Assist in logistics tasks such as organizing stock, shipping spare parts internationally, and preparing devices for deployment.
 - Contribute to firmware or internal tool improvements when relevant (e.g., bug fixes, UI updates, small scripts).

Skills & Experience
- 1+ years of experience in hardware support, electronics repair, or embedded product development.
 - 
Hands-on experience with hardware tools, soldering, and rework.
 - 
Knowledge of analog and digital electronics and high-speed design principles.
 - 
Familiarity with hardware certification norms (IEC) and hardware validation processes.
 - 
Experience in reading and interpreting schematics and technical documentation.
 - 
Certificate (Level IV, V, or VI) in networks, mechatronics, or informatics.
 - 
Familiarity with embedded systems, RTOS, and microcontroller programming is a plus.
 - 
Basic programming/scripting knowledge (Python, Bash, or C/C++) desirable.
 - 
Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal; Portuguese fluency preferred.
 - 
Fast learner with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
 - Collaborative mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach.
